Just days after being released by the Miami Dolphins, wide receiver Danny Amendola has found a new home. The former Super Bowl champion is signing with the Detroit Lions, a source tells NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport. It's a one-year deal worth $4.5 million with another $1.25 million available in incentives, Rapoport hears. https://twitter.com/RapSheet/status/1105076601002385410?ref_src=twsrc%5Egoogle%7Ctwcamp%5Eserp%7Ctwgr%5Etweet Amendola, 33, started all 15 of the games he appeared in last season with Miami, an impressive feat for a receiver who had never previously started more than eight games in a single season. Despite the increase in games, Amendola's numbers did not skyrocket, likely because he no longer had future Hall of Fame quarterback, Tom Brady, throwing to him. During the 2018 campaign, Amendola hauled in 59 of the 79 passes thrown his way, picking up 575 yards and a touchdown. A reunion between Amendola and the New England Patriots, who he spent five years playing for, was rumored to be in the works, but it appears he will instead be taking his talents to Motor City.
